My thoughts

I really enjoyed the combat for the most part, and I loved the pawn system. Also a great selection of vocations, weapons and armour to help mix things up. Sadly, I found the rest of the game to be pretty average, inlcuding the side quests, story, and characters. Enemy variety was also lacking - I fought a cocktrice once, and a chimera about 15+ times. The worst thing about this game is the use of port crystals, or rather the lack of quick ways to travel around the map - it was incredibly boring. Safe to say, if there were better ways to travel in the game, I'd probably bump it up much higher.

I think I did ruin the game a little for myself because I didn't really try out any of the magic vocations too, so that probably contributed to the low score.

Overall, It was a good game with unique elements that was dragged down by questionable decisions. Ultimately, can't wait for the sequel!
